A music box (also musical box) is a 19th/20th century automatic musical instrument that produces sounds by the use of a set of pins placed on a revolving cylinderor disc so as to pluck the tuned teeth (or lamellae) of a steel comb.

You guessed it, we sampled real strummed major and minor chords of an electric guitar (upstroke and downstroke) recorded by direct input. It’s been sampled the way real guitarists play. What does that mean? It means that when a guitarist strums softer, he doesn’t strum all the strings, only the first ones depending if he upstrokes or downstrokes, that’s why this instrument sounds so real.

We also sampled, apart from the chords, fret noises, open strings and mutes. All with 5 velocity layers and 4 round robin (repetitions).

With the purchase of this instrument we also include midi files with predefined patterns to help understand the way it works, you can use these patterns to build your own ones.

W-Shaker is a tempo synced and multisampled Kontakt 3 library based on two types of shaker (Egg and Metal). Personally, I think there’s a huge difference when a shaker comes into a song, it brings life to it!

2 velocity layers and 6 round robin, 6 different rolls and 10 pre-recorded tempo synced patterns. They are recorded using the Mid/Side technique, 100% mono compatible.

With our custom script you can control the volume and pan for each mic, that’s what we call “real mix mode“, it’s like you have recorded it in your studio. The patterns are recorded at 60 bpm, so we recommend not to use it with a slower tempo.

Always wanted to sample a grand piano, but what’s the point? The market is oversaturated of piano libraries, and making another one is pointless unless you make it differently. We sampled a grand piano in mono using a low quality cassette recorder. When I say “low quality” I mean “very low quality”. Unlike other libraries availabe, the piano used was new and tuned, just the recorder was old.

It has a lofi vibe to it, but without sacrificing dynamics. Don’t expect a clean sound, it’s the opposite.

You can hear it on the demos, it’s perfect for music from the 40s, 50s, 60s… But it reminds me too that kind of “rare demos” from the stars of the 60s and 80s.

8 velocity layers, all notes sampled (no pitchshifting). The background noise was annoying (and there was a lot!) so we applied noise reduction but we made a loop file with the noise itself for if you want to use it.

We love this instrument, we could play with it all day long, it’s completely addictive! And we loved the making of it, so you can expect other instruments recorded with this method.

We sampled a Yamaha drum kit played with brushes for NI Kontakt 3.5 or superior. This was recorded using 5 mic setup: 1 for bass drum, 2 for snare (top and bottom) and 2 overheads. High quality mics, preamps and converters were used in a complety dry studio environment.

It has 6 repetitions (round robin) and 6 velocities (from soft to strong), but the most important is that on every mic you have the real and natural bleeding of the other parts of the drum. As you can hear on the audio demos, through the mics you can hear exactly what is recorded in a real studio situation. In other words, when you play a key (snare hit, for example), the sound becomes from each of the 5 mics, so there’re 5 files playing. Is like having recorded the drum yourself!

With our custom script you can control the volume, pan and tune of each mic like it was recorded in you own computer or studio. It’s exciting to play and hear it!

We sampled a Hofner Bass for NI Kontakt (also known as Violin Bass). This is the bass that Paul Mccartney has played through all his life. When you play it you get instant beatlesque sound. We recorded 4 velocity layers and 2 round robins, and added a velocity crossfade to gain realism.

This instrument was recorded with a pick, without passing through any amp or cabinet (Direct Input DI) and premium converters.

There are 4 articulations selectable by Key-switches:

- Muted (Paul played muted in a lot of songs).

- Sustain.

- Glissando UP.

- Glissando DOWN.

You also get fret noises, pick noises, pluck noises and release notes. With our custom GUI (rendered in 3D) you can control the overall volume, the release volume, the pluck volume and we added a cabinet simulator with a switch to turn it on or turn it off.

Organ pipes are made from either wood or metal and produce sound when air under pressure (“wind”) is directed through them. Pipes are arranged by timbre and pitch into ranks. A rank is a row of pipes mounted vertically onto a windchest. An organ contains two actions, or systems of moving parts. When a key is depressed, the key action admits wind into a pipe. The stop action allows the organist to control which ranks are engaged.

We sampled a Pipe Organ built in the year 1850 in Artà’s church (a little village on the island of Mallorca, Spain). You can check the size, look and proportions of this church on the image gallery page on Facebook. The pipes are controlled by a wood keyboard of 54 keys (from C1 to F5). Sustain and release notes sampled, which means that you have the natural reverb tail of the church, it’s amazing! No pitch shifting (note interval) used, sampled every note.

This Pipe Organ has 8 ranks selectable by 16 stops (8 right and 8 left). With 1850 Pipe Organ Pro you can control the volume of each rank separetly, making the instrument very versatile and flexible, you can achieve an enormous amount of different sounds. On the free version you only get the sound of the 8 ranks opened without control on each of them.  Free version lets you control the overall volume and the volume of the tail reverb directly from the GUI. With Pro version you can control the overall volume, pan and each rank directly from the GUI.

GUI has been designed by Cocavet, rendered in 3D. Note that the stop knobs are identical to the real thing (see the real images on Facebook).

Set of 4 Yamaha timpanis recorded in a dry studio environment. Most of libraries are recorded on stage and have the natural reverb of it, that means you can’t change it. With W-Timpani you have dry samples, so you can add whatever kind of reverb you want.

Timpanis were played with cotton mallets from D1 to G2, 5 round robin (repetitions to avoid the machine gun effect) and 6 velocity layers. All timpani libraries on the market have no repetitions so you can’t do realistic rolls. Now you can with W-Timpani. The pitch wheel have been programed to change pitch only a forth for a more realistic glissando. Double mapped for easy roll playing. Note: use the sustain pedal for sustained notes, without it will sound damped.

Recorded with premium mics, preamps and converters in stereo, you have pan control on those mics in the user view of the instrument. You have access to every single audio file in the samples folder, it’s not encrypted. Works in Kontakt 3.5 or superior, Kontakt player will run in demo mode. Only 9.95€!
