StrumGTR – Vol. I. Electric.
The Instrument
You guessed it, we sampled real strummed major and minor chords of an electric guitar (upstroke and downstroke) recorded by direct input. It’s been sampled the way real guitarists play. What does that mean? It means that when a guitarist strums softer, he doesn’t strum all the strings, only the first ones depending if he upstrokes or downstrokes, that’s why this instrument sounds so real.
We also sampled, apart from the chords, fret noises, open strings and mutes. All with 5 velocity layers and 4 round robin (repetitions).
With the purchase of this instrument we also include midi files with predefined patterns to help understand the way it works, you can use these patterns to build your own ones.
For EXS24 and Kontakt 3.5 or superior. Full version required.

Demo sounds great, 40+ year rhythm player duly impressed!
Okay, bought it, LOVE IT! Now TOTALLY impressed! Will check out other stuff here, NICE!
What’s the actual guitar that is sampled?
Parker Nitefly SA, middle pickup.
Interesting, why not something more standard like a strat or tele?
Because this guitar is the most versatile that I’ve ever heard. Some people like Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, SGs… each of this guitars has a distinctive sound, but this one sounds like a “standard” guitar, so I prefered to record the Parker.
Seems like a good reason to me!
One of the examples on the video sounded like a reggae “skank” groove, is that possible with this vsti?
Of course, all the grooves/sounds/demos are made with StrumGTR Electric.
Bought it. Sounds great! Need more chords, though. Sevenths, sus, etc. Would pay the same price again to get this update.
Bought it, loaded a track in Logic with the “Crunchy Muted something” strip channel setting, changed the guitar in EXS24 for Strum GTR, and dropped Pattern 02 on the track. It immediately put a smile on my face. This just works. Nice!
is there any Strumming guitar loops?
and was this mastered with SSL? it sounds crisp!
There’s no audio loops, but midi loops (midi patterns).
And no, it was not mastered with SSL. I think it was just Waves L2 to gain a few DBs.
Great stuff, just bought this and loving playing around with it.
Just wondering if there’s a way of turning the Round Robin off (on EXS24)? Thanks
